Jason Statham with Patek Philippe Nautilus 5980

Jason Statham is a famous movie star, maybe you have saw many movie that he act. When he went out and with his Patek Philippe Nautilus in his wrist, someone pictured it. The Gerald Genta designed Nautilus makes another appearance now. We have observed that Giorgio Chiellini was wearing one. Now, it's around the wrist of Mr Statham that people will find a Patek Philippe 5980 Chronograph in stainless steel.

The Patek Philippe 5980 Nautilus Chronograph made its debut in 2006. The same year the entire Nautilus selection was reintroduced. It had been even the same year the Nautilus celebrated its 30th anniversary - a milestone achievement that shouldn’t go undetected. Purists would reason that the 5980 isn't as in keeping with its roots since its brethren the triple complication 5712 was handed more credit compared to 5980. But ultimately, the things they unsuccessful to understand would be that the 5980 didn’t only celebrate the return from the Nautilus, but additionally Patek Philippe’s own and recently crafted, in-house automatic chronograph movement.

Even though the revered movement is mainly reflected, that was launched within the same year, the 5980 required the Nautilus to increased levels. By veering from the Nautilus brand without offending it, and simultaneously attaining its place among the sporting chronograph best, the 5980 was set to become legend among modern watches.

The style of the 5980 was to make sure that the Nautilus lineage continued to be intact. Despite the requirement for chronograph pushers in the 2 and 4 o’clock position, the folks from Patek ensured that wouldn’t alienate age-old classic look that's the Nautilus. Foregoing the classic chronograph round pushers that people see from most chronographs, they used two distinctively designed flat pusher on each side from the right ‘ear’. This basically made the pushers hardly noticeable when searching upon time, an absolute high reason for ensuring no drastic aesthetic changes were introduced, which the initial design was maintained.

The 5980 Nautilus opted for a rather more plain and simple approach through using just one (but bigger) sub-dial visible over the 6 o’clock marker. This sub-dial is another co-axial chrono counter, which enables the individual to keep an eye on both minute (observe that it’s a 30 minute counter) and hour without resorting to any extra sub-dial. This enables the piece to keep the cleanser and much more shaped look that people found recognize the initial Nautilus.
