IWC released its new and ‘improved’ Aquatimer early this year at SIHH. IWC up-to-date the final model passing on a shiny new exterior and did away using the internal bezel that the first Aquatimer was well-known for. The brand new Aquatimer for 2014 dates back to some more retro design that's predicted to complete well with fans from the Swiss made manufacturer.
The Aquatimer Automatic 2000 will probably be launched in titanium, having a case diameter of 45mm. The case construction looks solid using the greatest change arriving the bezel. This new bezel known as the IWC SafeDive System combines both safety from the internal bezel using the functionality of the exterior bezel. So, actually, the markers accustomed to appraise the past time are located on the ring around the limbs from the dial, as the outer bezel can be used to rotate it. This is achieved with a sliding system, which connects the 2 bezels. Naturally, IWC makes this bezel unidirectional where it may simply be rotated counterclockwise. What seems to become a left side crown about this watch is really a pinion which enables for that change in energy in the outer bezel towards the internal one.
The case back and primary crown are screwed to maintain water resistance at 2000 meters (200 Bars). The case back also includes an offshore diving helmet in relief. The dial looks very utilitarian using its black dial and green lume. The dial is striated adding texture for this piece. All the dial elements are extra-large permitting for enhanced readability. A date aperture is available in in the 3 position.
The Aquatimer Automatic 2000 is operated by Caliber 80110 self-winding mechanical outfitted having a Pellaton winding system. This durable watch has the quick-change bracelet system, that is lent by Cartier. Like its formers, this Aquatimer Automatic 2000 watch is really a nice dive watch, and it’s absolutely the perfect tool when you’re diving.
