Introducing Tudor Heritage Black Bay “Midnight Blue Bezel” Watch for 2014

With the return of Tudor watches towards the United States following a lengthy absence, American watch fans once more possess the chance to buy watches from Rolex’s lower priced “little brother” Tudor watch brand.

The Tudor Heritage Black Bay was initially presented two year before with signature Snowflake-formed pink-gold hands and hour markers, a black-brown dial, cream colored Luminova along with a burgundy red-colored bezel. And, the year after it had been granted the “Revival” category prize through the jury from the 2013 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve.

The Tudor Heritage Black Bay is inspired with a Tudor watch out for divers that made its very first in 1954. The timepiece also pays homage to Tudor watches from the seventies using its burgundy-colored, unidirectional bezel (and burgundy accent around the crown). The timepiece includes a steel case having a diameter of 41 mm, water-resistant against 200 meters (660 ft).

The Tudor Heritage Black Bay returns at Baselworld 2014 inside a latest version that has a little much more of a contemporary turn to it. Tudor has changed it with silvered hands and hour markers and whitened Luminova, and also the dial is available in an in-depth-black colour. Finally, the bezel in night time-blue, matching the colour from the crown tube.

The Tudor Heritage Black Bay gives its lines and it is domed crystal in the brand’s first divers’ watch, the Tudor Submariner reference 7922, released in 1954 as the signature angular hands, known by connoisseurs as “Snowflakes”, were seen from 1969 towards the early eighties.

The robust “Submariner tool” steel case measures 41mm, with polished and satin finish, houses the self-winding mechanical movement, Tudor calibre 2824 (ETA  2824, however with less power reserve), offering a power reserve of roughly 38 hrs.

The winding crown in steel, engraved using the Tudor rose, is screwed lower to ensure water-resistance lower to 200m (660 foot).

The Tudor Heritage Black Bay could be matched up for an aged blue leather strap in order to a steel bracelet, both with folding clasp and safety catch, the Black Bay can also be provided by having an additional blue fabric NATO-style band. The cost will remain identical to the original Black Bay, at 2950 CHF around the strap and 3250 CHF around the steel bracelet.
